Kelvin Collaborative Control Software and it’s components Kelvin Maps, Kelvin Copilots and other Kelvin Application is a software application owned and developed by Kelvin Inc. Kelvin Inc. (“Kelvin” or “we”) shares the concerns of users of our applications and websites (“you”) about the protection of your personal information. This is our policy regarding the privacy of information we collect inside our applications and websites. This privacy policy applies to the kelvininc.com website and all of the internet-accessible web properties and applications owned or operated by Kelvin ( the “Services”). This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control.

Basic account information 

In order to register for a Kelvin account on our website or in our applications, you are required to provide us with certain pieces of  information, such as your email address, phone number, username and password.  Your username is listed publicly on our Services, including in search results.  We may use your phone number or email address to send you information about our Services, provide customer support or to notify  you of additional Kelvin products and services.  You may use your account settings to unsubscribe from notifications from Kelvin. 

Additional profile information 

You may also choose to provide us with additional profile information to make public, such as a picture, your location and additional information about yourself. 

Information that we get from your use of the services

Log data and location information 

When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain log data, including your IP address, browser type, hardware type, unique device ID, the version of your operating system, your activity within the Services, and your location (based on opt-in location-based services, which rely upon a device’s GPS coordinates). We use this information to administer, troubleshoot and improve our Services, and to help us understand how you and our other users use our Services. Google Analytics 

We use Google Analytics’ Demographics and Interest Reporting feature to collect information about use of the Kelvininc.com website. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We will not facilitate the merging of personally identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information collected through Google Analytics unless we have given you notice of that merger. You may opt-out of Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Service providers who have access to Student Data, if any, shall be contractually bound to uphold privacy and confidentiality terms no less protective than those provided in this Privacy Policy.

Kelvin Inc makes every effort to assure all 3rd party organizations are compliant and do not compromise the integrity, security, and privacy of Kelvin Inc or its customer data. 3rd parties include customers, partners, subcontractors, and contracted developers.

  • Service Providers are prohibited from accessing Kelvin Inc’ information security assets until a contract containing security controls is agreed to and signed by the appropriate parties.
  • Service Providers must ensure that organizational records are protected, safeguarded, and disposed of securely. Kelvin Inc strictly adheres to all applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements regarding the collection, processing, and transmission of sensitive data such as Personally-Identifiable Information (PII).
Kelvin Inc may choose to audit Service Providers to ensure compliance with applicable security policies, as well as legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

We do not sell or disclose your personal information to unaffiliated third parties except under the circumstances described in this privacy policy.

Other users: 

Any information in your public profile (e.g., your username and any profile image, location or additional information that you provide as part of your public profile, but not your first and last name or email address) will be accessible by other users of the Services. Content that you create through or upload to the Services will by default be public and available to users of the Services. Accessing and Deleting Your Personal Data; Disclosure Limitation

Kelvin Inc takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, the accuracy of that information depends largely on the information being provided.

If you’re a customer, you can review and change your Personal Data by logging into the Service and visiting your Account profile page. You may also send us an email at security@kelvin.ai to request access to, correct, or delete any Personal Data that you have provided to us, or to delete your Account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

How to Control Your Communications Preferences 

You can stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in such communications. We make every effort to promptly process all unsubscribe requests. Data Retention 

We will retain Personal Data for as long as needed to provide the Service and for our internal business purposes, which may extend beyond the termination or cancelation of your subscription or user account. We may also retain and use information which has been de-identified or aggregated such that it can no longer reasonably identify a particular individual. We may not be able to immediately or completely delete all data in all instances, such as information retained in technical support records, customer service records, backups, and other similar business records. We will not be required to delete any information which has been de-identified or disassociated with personal identifiers such that the remaining information cannot reasonably be used to identify a particular individual.

Kelvin Inc is located in the United States. Personal Data collected through our Service may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Kelvin Inc or its affiliates or service providers maintain facilities.

To protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, both for Kelvin Inc and Kelvin Inc customers, complete backups are performed daily to assure that data remains available when it’s needed and in the case of a disaster.

Change of Control 

If Kelvin Inc becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, change of control, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, your Personal Data may be transferred or disclosed in connection with the business transaction. In such an event, Kelvin Inc will make efforts to provide notice before Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy . In all instances, we will not transfer Student Data to a new owner or entity unless the recipient has agreed to maintain the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy or unless we first provide our customers and Authorized Users with notice and an opportunity to opt-out of the transfer of Student Data by terminating their accounts and deleting any associated Student Data before the transfer occurs.

The security of your Personal Data is very important to us. We have implemented a variety of physical, administrative and technological safeguards designed to preserve the integrity and security of the Personal Data we collect and to protect against unauthorized access to such information. For example, although Kelvin Inc encrypts data in transit, we urge you to encrypt data prior to transmitting it to the Company. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Service, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone, and to regularly change your password using best practices on password complexity.

Clients are able to share analyzed results publicly, and Kelvin Inc does not restrict the sensitivity of data being uploaded. For this reason, it is important to ensure necessary security measures are taken, as Kelvin Inc will not be held liable for inadvertent confidential data public exposure.

Changes to This Privacy Policy 

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. The date the Privacy Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. If we change this Privacy Policy in a material manner, we will do our best to notify you of the changes by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service following the effective date of such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
